Meet Dr. Eric Segall

Dr. Eric Segall

I grew up in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Like many kids, I was active and played a number of sports. During a baseball camp, I was involved in an accident that fractured several of my front teeth. It was an unfortunate but life-changing experience. The impact a smile has on one’s appearance became very clear. From that point forward, I was determined to follow in my father’s footsteps and become an orthodontist. It was a decision I will never regret. I truly love the science, mechanics and artistry involved in orthodontics. And above all, I enjoy giving others the confidence to smile because I will never forget how uncomfortable smiling was after my accident.

I attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and received my Bachelor of Science in Biological Anthropology. I then returned home, graduated at the top of my class, and earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (formally U.M.D.N.J). Afterwards, I headed back to Michigan and completed an intensified curriculum at the University of Detroit - Mercy. I received both my certificate in orthodontics as well as a Master of Science degree. At Rutgers Dental School, I was the only member of class honored with the American Association of Orthodontists Award for my exceptional interest in the field.

I have continued my commitment to lifelong learning by maintained membership in several prestigious organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the New Jersey Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. Additionally, to provide my patients with the highest level of patient care, I have taken my education a step further and attained certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

When I am not at the office creating beautiful smiles, I love spending time with my wife, our two boys, and amazing dogs. You can find me unwinding at a restaurant with family and friends or cheering on my kids at their year-round sports and extracurricular activities. I am also a sports fanatic and always enjoy watching a good professional or collegiate game. Go Michigan!
